THROUGH EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE
Life is filled with mountains and valleys, green pastures and wildernesses. Only God's Word can teach us to survive and be blessed in all these places.
Philippians 4:12 (AMP) 12I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want.
Some people can really praise God when He is blessing them, but have a bit of trouble being thankful and worshipful when things don’t seem to be going so well. However, if we can’t handle adversity---if we can’t praise God in the midst of our trials---what kind of Christianity are we experiencing?
Added to the problem is the fact that there are people around you who feel that if you’re experiencing trials, sickness, attack, you’re not really living for God. Or, at the very least, you’re doing something wrong. So, in the midst of the trials, you face judgment. Well, that’s okay; God can give you peace through those circumstances.
Oddly enough, there are also people for whom the reverse is true; they know how to cope with adversity, but haven’t a clue how to react to prosperity. “Why?” you might ask. Well, some people feel that if they are not struggling or poor or under attack, they’re not really living for God. It may sound weird, but it’s true.
GOD WANTS US TO KNOW HOW TO LIVE THROUGH EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE...AND HE WILL GIVE US THE POWER TO DO SO.
Philippians 4:12 (AMP) 13I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].

OUR PURPOSE
we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
All things work together to our good when we are walking in God's calling and purpose. If we're not--then they don't.
MOSES HAD A CALLING. He was called to shepherd the people of Israel—God’s people. Like Moses, we each have a calling. Whatever our calling is, it will be connected to God’s people. We are ALL called to be God’s ambassadors; to lead people to Jesus and help them continue to follow Him. We are also called to bless those who know Him.
MOSES NOT ONLY HAD A CALLING, HE HAD A PURPOSE.
First, he was to lead Israel out of the slavery of Egypt---to show them how to come under God's protection and be saved from death through the Blood of the Lamb.
We have a purpose: to lead people out of the slavery of sin and turn them to God that they be saved from death through the Blood of the Lamb—God’s Son, Jesus.
But there was more to the purpose that God had called Moses to; he had to receive the Law from God and give this law to Israel so Israel might live a good and abundant life. The Law would teach them how to survive—both in the desert and in the Promised Land.
We are called not only to bring people to salvation, but to turn them toward the Word of God so that they might live an abundant life---so they (and we) may survive in the desert and in the place of blessing.
Life is filled with mountains and valleys, green pastures and wildernesses. Only God's Word can teach us to survive and be blessed in all these places. |
